We had a lovely scan-lay yesterday, her name shall remain anonymous, but she gleefully asked "do you want to know what it's going to be?" (which is not allowed in our hospital)... "go on then!"... she held back, "well, I won't tell you, but I'll find the area, and let you make up your own mind"..."oh! that'll be a boy then!"

Poppy seemed to think that all the pink clothes in the shows after the scan were quite fitting for her baby brother... We look forward to the day he pops out, and see how Poppy deals with this all...

I've broken out the old eKeys 49 to have a noodle and a sketch, getting ready for my attempt to "make a tune a month" for 2011... anyway, Poppy loves making music / sounds through the keyboard, and always loves seeing the old eKeys come out (I really should do it more often!)... mind you, I don't get much tuneage done when she's hogging the pooter!

"free beer!"... on a -3c night... dear digital cool dudes, c'mon! it's A'Deen in december! I loved the Mighty Meet Up tonight, but I fear I am too old now... there was a time when "free beer" would have me rolling in the snow in a balaclava, miners lamp and snowboarding goggles... but I just want some hot soup now.. boo hoo.

For anyone "digital" and interested in web tech / dev / design... you really should attend the next MightyMeetup. It's free, and you do get more than beer... knowledge! (no soup).

Ho ho ho! How observant mr Rutherford! During a wee break (pies and pastries!) my good friend (who is helping us in the garden of Claypots, for a final splurge of getting it ready for sale) suddenly notices that all my dangly nose hairs have disappeared! I did indeed stick the trimmer up my beak this morning... I fear it's still up there... who knows.

I've got all the software, I think... I just need to learn how to use it!

The Lovely Fiona Soe Paing came round today, as I said I could help her burn a DVD for her performance in Glasgow on Tuesday... I'm sure I've done it before...it's been a while... SO! I open my CS4 suite, and it strikes me that I've owned this software for nearly 2 years now, and I've hardly used any of it... and when I do open the programmes I think I need to use, it's like an alien world! nothing like the previous versions I once used.

anyway, after a quick search on the good old internet, I find that the program to use, is Encore... and it's in the CS4 suite I bought! Huzah! it only takes 30 mins to burn a 15 min QT to DVD... sorry Fiona!

I'd discovered that my phone had not been locked, and was doing a bit of cocksurfing (it went online! as opposed to cockdialing)... I then took some photos (with no flash) of the Lovely candle lit UTG event last night (fantastic night!) - gabi then said "did it take photos in your pocket too?" (not knowing I'd taken them)... indeed, it appears that there's a candle lit vigil going on in my pocket too!

What is the problem with everyone? (well...omnivores)... This rubbish story about "cloned beef" in the "food chain"... how many people actually know what they are talking about when discussing "cloning"... sadly (as always) the media has seemed to brainwash everyone into thinking "Frankenstein" (yes... his monster... yeah yeah, tell that to the morons too). Cloned doesn't mean "genetically modified" - it's not like a randy mutant bull will escape and wildly seed millions of cows, creating a possible future nightmare (unlike GM crops getting out into the wild and messing things up, that is a worry!)... It's a bunch of genes being continued...

the things people should be looking at are - Animal Welfare (or good husbandry)...

Gah! Our car's suspension broke today (potholes? nawww... ) anyway... we've been given a very helpful "courtesy car" ... but, it's a left hand drive Polo Estate! Gabi and I have never driven a left hand drive car... and boy oh boy, does it take some concentration! we're still not really able to change gear going around a roundabout!... holiday weekend too... sheeit. Roll on Tuesday.

Some very kind words from Joe Coleman (Transition Extreme, Skatepark manager) - when I dropped in to show him (and Ashley Bird) my interactive digital installation / image-maker... projecting the "image abstraction" from a webcam (real-time feeds of skaters / BMXers in the skate park). Here's to taking this a step further, and having an interactive digital art evening in Transition Extreme!... watch this space.
