Just...
Just shutup dad.
Even my relentless gobshite with Poppy has its limits. She's ill today, bad cough etc, so, she's blanketed up and slounging on the sofa, watching Mary Poppins. I start singing the songs in my faux cockney accent... it's a no go.Ms Poppins is not impressed.

Pull your Pod...
Pull your Pod Race face Poppy!
Poppy got the Star Wars "prequel" box set (pah). We're watching Ani (sp? or was he also a ginger orphan girl in a previous life, thanks to those pesky midichlorians?) Anyway... we're watching the pod race, and that wee "grimmace", so well acted is to die for. Oh, does Michael Schumacher keeps some spare tools in his cockpit incase something goes wrong with his engine? or did they only do that sort of thing a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away?

Are they good
Are they good or bad people?
Annie is on TV tonight and Poppy is interested in the people that come to pick Annie up (for the "reward"). "oh, they are bad all right!", "but, but, they are nice!"..."ah, that's the trick you see, they are pretending to be nice but they are not, just so they can get the money"..."but why?".. ah, the biggie.

I've got all the software...
I've got all the software, I think... I just need to learn how to use it!
The Lovely Fiona Soe Paing came round today, as I said I could help her burn a DVD for her performance in Glasgow on Tuesday... I'm sure I've done it before...it's been a while... SO! I open my CS4 suite, and it strikes me that I've owned this software for nearly 2 years now, and I've hardly used any of it... and when I do open the programmes I think I need to use, it's like an alien world! nothing like the previous versions I once used.anyway, after a quick search on the good old internet, I find that the program to use, is Encore... and it's in the CS4 suite I bought! Huzah! it only takes 30 mins to burn a 15 min QT to DVD... sorry Fiona!

It's George and Melissa (Our Neighbour and his daughter), Poppy is so happy! someone to play with at Claypots! A first! We show Dod around, and head upstairs, only to find Poppy wrapping Melissa up in blankets... I didn't know this was Bate's Motel meets Balamory!

do you want some moondrills...
do you want some moondrills and moonslices with mooncheese?
POppy loves mushrooms (uncooked), but has a thing about them being in sauces... so, tonight... the moon takes an excavation with spiral pasta, exposing edam cheese and sliced mushrooms in a tomato sauce..bingo! (We're watching ET on DVD too, so "the moon man" would approve. Thanks Charlie and Lola.

we've run out of presents...
we've run out of presents, we'll have to go buy more!
Today, Poppy is 4. Having a hillock of presents when you are young, seems to be a given (Gabi and her charity shop till you drop 'knack'). Anyway, after opening what seemed like a library, DVD store and Clothes Boutique... it's the end!.... or is it! (I'm sure with Super-Gran's cheque, this wish will be fulfilled.Today, we headed up to Dunvegan Castle with Ailsa, fit a fine day! lucky that only when we're in the car and heading home, did the weather turn crazy...

He has the death...
He has the death on twelve sisters!
He he he... what? rewind! We're watching Star Wars again tonight, I'm making Pizzas in the kitchen, and Pop's watching the film. Cornelius Evazan is giving his speech to poor Luke in the cantina ... so misunderstood.
He doesn't like you! I don't like you!

Look I've made an AT AT...

I was woken from my deep slumber this morning with a colourful comb that came from a cracker, which slots together, pressed right into my fizzog... seems that ATAT's are everywhere... dem pesky Empire doodz.

Who is...
Who is Obi Wan?
After watching Star Wars with Poppy on Sunday, and guiding her through the story, as she asks questions, I think we're getting somewhere... we decided to give the Empire Strikes Back a blast, Droids, check, Luke, Check, Han, Check, Leia, Check... "who's Obi Wan? Why's he in the snow, why's he dead?".... never mind, Ewoks soon in Return of the Jedi... he he.Oh, and how clumsy, stupid and incompetent are the Empire? when you think about it... "Oops, we've landed miles away from the power station with our sneak attack, break out the slow moving AT ATs we'll go for a stroll".... "We're in our massive star destroyers, lets go chase the mellenium falcon....no! I said I would! watch out! take evasive action"... let alone Darth Employing incompetent morons that mess up every action plan he gives them...

I really just...
I really just miss him so much!
After seeing the Bill Hicks "American" movie today, It just compounds my sadness, and wish that he was still with us. I was fired up and raging, as always, after hearing his rants and philosophies - amazing how they are still transferable and universal - with added poignancy with the UTG in the back of mind.Saturday, 22 May 2010
He made me put a bean...
He made me put a bean up me knob!
Just come back from the live cinema broadcast Q&A with Chris Morris and the cast, hosted by Charlie Brooker at the Belmont Cinema of "Four Lions"... John Rutherford and I had seen it 2 weeks ago, but the draw of hearing Chris Morris discussing his work was too good to pass up. It's a superb film, hilarious, challenging, horrific, moronic - I'd advise anyone to go see it. (Support British film if anything!). Have a squizz at the rather moronic BBC questioning - it's just they type of crap you'd expect Morris to invent himself! Anyway, go see the film...
