Business men retire, Artists die

After listening to some debate about how to benchmark or quantify "success" in creative endeavour (in the eyes of a funder) today, a lot of talk (or comparison) about "business" / "economy" / "commerciality" was being used... I couldn't but help write this quote - I've no choice in what I do in life - to be interested in "things" and want to explore them artistically / creatively. It's disappointing to see that business is allowed to build (crap) building - purely because they can pay for them, themselves (because they sell a product / service) - yet "promoting thinking out with a university for all to use and see"... which can't "directly" make money - is seen as a waste of money and perhaps "frivolous".... I could go on... (of course you could Phil)....
